Reny Rodrigues

There is very little more beautiful than the harmony of horse and rider.  I enjoy everything about these graceful creatures from brushing to mucking and the happy nicker you receive at feeding time.  What began as a hobby with my daughters has turned into a passion for us all.  It brings us closer together and allows us to share our accomplishments in the show ring as well disappointments.

As owner of Allegretto Stables, I am privileged to help you care for your equine companion.

Rachel Rodrigues

Rachel enjoys this sport with her two mares, one a Trakehner, Esmerelda, the other an Arabian, Freda. When her older sister got her first horse at 12, Rachel was 7 and tagged along every day at the barn. Since she didn’t have a horse of her own, she was allowed to ride some of the other horses at the stables where her sister’s horse was boarded.  So began her love affair with equines.  She’d ride anything she could from Mini’s to the owner’s Rocky mountain horse to the quarter horse who loved to jump.
When she was 10, Milo came into her life.  He is a spirited welsh pony with a big heart.  On his back, Rachel has won countless blue ribbons and trophies at the county and state fair.  His first love is jumping and Rachel happily complied! As she grew bigger though, she needed something a little bigger to ride.  Doesn’t every girl dream of a horse like black beauty?
Well when we came across a beautiful black Arabian in need of some TLC we jumped right in.  Rachel was 12 then and ready for a challenge. Having been told this horse was green broke, but realizing that she still bucked every time you saddled her up we didn’t know if we bit off too much.  Taking lessons with a fantastic trainer and working on things slowly at home has made her one of the most versatile, reliable riding horses.  Rachel shows her in the Arabian horse circuit and has won numerous blues in hunt seat and dressage.  She has also placed top five in hunter over fences reg ionally.
Rachel is now working with a very talented Trakehner in jumping and dressage as well as breaking out another Arabian mare. She has learned that patient consistency is key to establishing trust and a harmonious working relationship with your equine.
